AI POLICY

All written compositions you will find on this site (apart from user comments) are human-written unless otherwise marked. For example, if I use AI to create a travel itinerary and share it as a blog post, I will note in the blog post how I used AI and what contribution to the post I made as an author. If AI is not credited, you can rest assured the post was entirely written by a human author (me, V. Pickering, or a credited guest author).
When I am reading an article online, I want to know whether it was written by AI or a human author or some combination of those. For multiple reasons, I am disturbed by the proliferation of un-labeled AI-generated text and I would like to see more sites take responsibility for communicating when and how AI is being used.
I often use stock images on this site and while I prefer to use human-created images, I often have no way of verifying whether a stock image I have used is AI-generated. When I use my own photographs, I will label them as such and you can know that they are not made by AI. Otherwise, images on this site may or may not be AI-generated.
